Established in 2020 the VCBC has become a leading organisation for supporting entrepreneurship and business growth within Australia’s military community. 

However, before founding the VCBC together, we notched up some pretty big entrepreneurial achievements:

  • Founded multiple 7 figure businesses within 5 years of leaving military
  • 2018 winner of the Prime Minister's Veteran Employment awards “Veteran employer of the year” 
  • 2022 Financial Review Fastest growing startup list
  • Seat on Industry Advisory Council for Veteran employment

Like you, our careers began differently—in the Australian Defence Force. We met at Duntroon in 2006 as young bucks, and after leaving the ADF following over a decade in service, we collaborated in building several million-dollar businesses. 

That’s our story—but what we care about most is yours.

Through the VCBC membership, we’re on a mission to support Veterans and their partners in building strong, resilient, profitable businesses after leaving service, while we fight for better Veteran Procurement initiatives in government.

Because we believe that Veterans make incredible business owners and operators, and that the skills and qualities we hone in service—discipline, duty, unwavering determination, commitment, leadership, planning—lead to exceptional entrepreneurship efforts.
